Judge Jot
Judge Jot
was known more for his knowledge of
proceedings and technicalities
than he was for
putting violators
away.
Jot failed to appreciate
the wisdom in God's use of
only four words in
His instructions on theft:
Thou
shalt not steal.
Deuteronomy
5:19
The
judge had recently experienced an unpleasant
meal
at one of his favorite restaurants.
Jot
didn't recognize his waiter, but
the
waiter had been caught flagrantly stealing and
had
appeared in Jot's court.
Judge
Jot didn't remember that he had found the
man
'not guilty'. ( There was some technicality about
procedure
or rules of evidence - or something. )

Jot
wasn't much of a judge
of
good soup.

Jot didn't realize that both the waiter and the soup were
repeat offenders.
