C.S. Lewis
PRINCE CASPIAN

Comment on the Prince Caspian book by C.S.Lewis:
Aslan grants a request made by Reepicheep. Aslan gives Reepicheep what he asks for
because:
( Aslan speaking )
"for the kindness your people showed me long ago when you ate away
the cords that bound me on the stone table ( and it was then, though you have long forgotten it,
that you began to be Talking Mice )........."
Read the books and you will make really neat discoveries, like
what happened at the stone table and what Reepicheep asked Aslan to do for him.
As Christians we know that C.S. Lewis wanted us to think of
Jesus
when enjoying the characters and
events in The Chronicles of Narnia.
We know that Aslan is a type of
JESUS
and the stone table represents the CROSS where JESUS died for our sins.

This is what C.S.Lewis said about Reepicheep in a letter he wrote to a child -
"Anyone in our world who devotes his whole life to seeking HEAVEN
will be like Reepicheep in
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader."
Letters to Children - page 45
- Final comment on Prince Caspian -
The book is funny. The part where reepicheep challanges the giant
really makes you laugh. (And the bear falling asleep and sucking his paws.)
The movie is not as funny.
