Ramona thought her teeth were funny looking.
Juan told her that at school.
She felt like the other girls didn't like her because of her teeth.
She was convinced that the other girls didn't pick her to be on
the teams because of her teeth.
She was considering wearing a fake mustache and beard
to hide them.
When she told her mom what was bothering her - her mom
reminded her that even if some kids didn't like her
Jesus loves her.
And if sometimes she wasn't picked for a team -
JESUS had chosen her. The Bible tells us that.
Ramona thought about it and agreed that it was a lot
better to be loved than liked and chosen than picked.
I Peter 2:9
You are God's chosen and special people -
a people of HIS own.
There is a young man in the Bible
named Jeremiah who wasn't liked
because he told the people what God wanted.
God chose him ( just like us ) and he was not liked.
They threw him in a dark mud hole.
That's how much he wasn't liked.
But Jeremiah knew that he was loved by God.
Jeremiah was loved and chosen by Jesus.
This is what the man who rescued JEREMIAH from
the darkness and mud said:
